Amidst the ongoing controversy over the hijab row in Karnataka, many politicians are expressing their opinion. Now amidst all this, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha said that "Every citizen of the country should respect the religious sentiments of others and keep the Constitution supreme.''

At the same time, he allayed any apprehensions about the Delimitation Commission's report, saying, "He is confident that there will be no mistake as the Election Commission of India is a constitutional body which works in a transparent and scientific manner.'' When asked about the ongoing hijab controversy in Karnataka, he said, "I have to talk about two things - respect for religious sentiments and keep the Indian Constitution supreme. Every citizen of the country should take care of both these things."

At the same time, he further said, ''This matter is sub-judice in the court and therefore, it is enough for me to say this on this issue.'' With this, he said, referring to the acid attack on a woman in Srinagar, "We have made all arrangements for the treatment of the victim. The victim is in a hospital in Chennai and a senior officer of ours is also there. I want to know about her health." Let us tell you that during this, the Lieutenant Governor said that strict action will be taken against the guilty persons as per law.
