On Thursday,14 April 2016,on the occasion of 125th anniversary of Dr.Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar .Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to father of India’s Constitution and nation’s first Law and Justice Minister Dadasaheb at his birthplace in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also accompanied the PM to Dr. Ambedkar’s memorial.

Highlights from PM Narendra Modi’s speech in Mhow:

• Modi said ,it is my privilege that I am here, on the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar. I turn to this land.

• I want to admire the Madhya Pradesh government for the work ,they began during Patwa ji's time & carried forward by Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

• Dadasaheb fought against injustice in society. His was a fight for equality and dignity.

• From 14 to 24 April 'Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday' movement is being held.

• As far as developing our villages are concerned, a lot has to be done.

• Economic growth can't only happen in few cities.

• This year's budget is fully dedicated to the villages and the farmers.

• All our development actions have to be centered around rural development.

• Our efforts towards rural electrification are being done very transparently. The Garv App gives you on time progress.

• Digital connectivity is necessary in Indian villages. This is hard to do, yes, but we need to make a start somewhere.

• Panchayati Raj institutions have to be made stronger and more vibrant.
