Lucknow: The former home minister of the country and veteran BJP leader LK Advani on Friday recorded his statement before the special CBI court in the Babri Masjid demolition case, . LK Advani recorded his statement in front of the court through video conferencing from his residence in Delhi. The special CBI court recorded the statements under Section 313 of CRPC. Former Home Minister LK Advani said in his testimony before the special CBI court that the whole matter is of political hatred.

LK Advani said in the court that the then central government has taken action against him due to political malice, he is completely innocent in this case. While recording the statement of 92-year-old Advani in the court of Justice SK Yadav, his lawyers Vimal Kumar Srivastava, KK Mishra and Abhishek Ranjan were present. Advocates Lalit Singh, P Chakraborty and RK Yadav were present on behalf of the CBI. Let us tell you that on December 6, 1992, a huge crowd of karsevaks demolished the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.

The CBI has accused 32 people in this case. The special CBI court is hearing this case every day. According to the Supreme Court's directive, the special CBI court has to finish hearing in the case by 31 August. BJP leader Uma Bharti and former Uttar Pradesh CM Kalyan Singh have recorded their statements in this case. BJP leader and former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, who led the Ram Temple movement along with LK Advani, have also recorded their statements in the court.
