New Delhi: The coronavirus epidemic continues to wreak havoc across the country. The number of infected people in the second wave of the corona is increasing rapidly, while the death toll is also increasing. There are reports of a shortage of beds and oxygen from hospitals. Things are getting worse day by day. In many places, strict restrictions such as lockdowns and lockdowns are being imposed in many places. Now Gurugram and Faridabad in Haryana adjoining the country's capital Delhi may also have lockdowns.

Haryana's Chief Secretary has proposed to the government to impose lockdown in two Delhi-NCR cities of Gurugram and Faridabad. Chief Secretary Vijay Vardhan in a proposal to the government said that a total of 9742 covid-19 cases were reported across the state on April 22. Out of these, 3553 cases were from Gurugram alone. This is 36.47 percent of the total new corona cases reported in the state.

Chief Secretary Vijay Vardhan has said that the trend of new corona cases and active cases in Faridabad for the last four weeks is also alarming. He has said that based on facts, it is being proposed that a week's lockdown can be imposed in both Gurugram and Faridabad cities. This will help in slowing down the pace of corona infection.
