New Delhi: The Lok Sabha session on Thursday, August 10, came to an adjournment until 12 noon amidst fervent protests from opposition members. The Speaker of the House, Om Birla, promptly initiated the Question Hour as the proceedings commenced for the day.

However, the atmosphere in the chamber was soon charged with opposition members vocalizing slogans in connection to their concerns about the Manipur situation. In a separate development, criticism from Congress leaders emerged following the expunction of certain remarks made by party leader Rahul Gandhi during his address in the no-confidence debate.

Speaker Om Birla, in an attempt to restore order, urged the members to permit the Question Hour to proceed smoothly. Despite his appeal, the clamor continued to reverberate, compelling him to announce the adjournment of the session until 12 noon.

During the forthcoming session, the Lok Sabha is poised to delve further into the discourse on the no-confidence motion, during which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to provide his response to the debate. The initiation of this discussion transpired on Tuesday and has captured the House's attention since.
