Coimbatore: Today, In a tragic incident, a sand-laden lorry dashed against a state transport bus in Thoppur, which killed seven persons and injured ten.
According to police, “The lorry heading to Dharmapuri rammed the bus carrying passengers, travelling in the same direction, from the side at a curve on the national highway in Thoppur, killing four of them on the spot”.
The wounded have been rushed to hospital; the mishap disrupted the traffic movement on the highway.
