Lucknow: Mukhtar Ansari's MLA son Abbas Ansari, who is lodged in Banda jail in Uttar Pradesh, is still absconding. Arresting Abbas Ansari has become a major challenge for the Lucknow police. Lucknow Police will again file an application in the MP-MLA court today to declare Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) MLA Abbas Ansari an absconder. Earlier, the application of Lucknow Police has been rejected once.

Lucknow Police has been conducting raids from Lucknow to Punjab and Rajasthan in search of Abbas Ansari for the last 43 days. On July 14, the MP-MLA court of Lucknow issued a non-bailable warrant against Abbas Ansari. In 43 days, 12 teams of police have raided 135 places in 8 states including Uttar Pradesh.

Let me tell you that even after raids in 8 states, MLA Abbas Ansari has not been traced. Abbas Ansari did not even vote in the presidential election to avoid arrest. Two days ago, Abbas Ansari had filed an application for surrender in the court, but two hours later Abbas withdrew the surrender application.
