French President Emmanuel Macron is set to arrive in India tomorrow to serve as the chief guest at the Republic Day parade on January 26. His visit, organized on short notice after US President Joe Biden's December notification of his inability to attend, will commence with his landing at Jaipur Airport a day prior. During his Jaipur visit, Macron will explore historical monuments like Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal before heading to the national capital later that night.

Amidst the preparations, officials are diligently working on various Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) expected to be signed during Macron's visit, as reported by The Hindu.

A grand welcome awaits Macron in the Pink City on January 25, featuring a joint motorcade parade with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, bilateral talks, and a banquet dinner at one of Jaipur’s royal palaces.

Following his participation in the Republic Day parade in Delhi, Macron will engage in events organized by the French embassy. The evening will conclude with an 'At Home' Tea at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Macron is expected to return to France either late on January 26 or early the next day.

Notably, six Indians will join the French military in the Kartavya Path march alongside Indian contingents during India’s 75th Republic Day parade. The event will showcase a range of indigenous weaponry and military equipment, including drone jammers, missiles, surveillance systems, and vehicle-mounted mortars. Additionally, an all-women tri-services contingent will participate in the parade for the first time this year.
