Dhak- Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit, the actress who has lured every cinema lover with her dance moves and acting skills turned 51 today. Her Innocent and lively nature is much  appreciated by all her costars as well as  her fans. Her acting talent and amazing  dance performences  has proved herself as a dancing doll  of Bollywood.

She is one of the most popular actresses of the industry who Started her career in 1984 with  'Abodh'  which was a flop movie but four years later the lady proved herself in ‘Tezab’ against Anil Kapoor as 'Mohini'. 

She gained  much popularity because of her dancing skills. Then in the late 90s, she appeared in bollywood most tremendous family entetainer “Hum aapke hai kon” after that  she never  looked back. The movie became not only a super duper hit in India, In UK the movie earned around 1 million pounds, not a single movie could break the record till date.

She was paid 2.5 crores alone for the movie, becoming the highest paid actor of the 90s.Her movies were acclaimed commercially as well as from critic’s side. One by one hit, she acted in 70 movies as wining various laurels such as 5 Filmfare, 4-star screen awards, 2 zee cine and many more. She is the only actor to be nominated 13 times for the Filmfare awards.The Indian Government honored her with Padma Shree.

 In 1999 Madhuri married a doctor based in the USA but never left the industry, on and off she was part of shows like “Koffee with Karan”, “Kon Banega Crorepati” and more. Madhuri made a comeback in Bollywood with ‘aaja nachle’. 

She gained much popularity in the small screen with her appearance  as a judge in “jhalak dikhlaja” which scored a lot of TRP for the channel.

Currently, she has opened an online dance academy called “dance with Madhuri” where she teaches dance. The gorgeous actress is turning 51 years old today, but her radiating skin and all time smiling face don’t give a hint of her age. It would be apt to say Madhuri Dixit is killing it from half of the century!
