Bhopal: The corona havoc in Madhya Pradesh is slowly receding. There are also 53,343 active cases left. Let me tell you that 15 days ago, there were more than 1 lakh 11 thousand active cases in the state, but now it has come down to less than half. As a result, beds and ICU beds in hospitals in the state are now emptying. As per the recent report released by the Health Department, 65% of beds in government and private hospitals are vacant. At the same time, when it comes to ICU beds, 39% of the beds have been vacated. But recently 6582 patients are still being treated in icu across the state.

Not only this, the demand for oxigen cylinders has also come down drastically due to low number of covid patients in hospitals. Let me tell you that 401 tonnes of oxygen was supplied to the hospitals in the State on 23rd May and out of this, 379 tonnes have been consumed as compared to 513 tonnes 10 days ago. With this, more than 88,000 patients have recovered in the last 10 days. According to reports, the government is currently in no mood to close the covid care centre anywhere.

Let me tell you that there are 320 covid care centres across the state and in the review meeting of The Covid, it has been decided that due to the possibility of the third wave of corona, the centre in each district will be allowed to remain operational. In addition, the CM in the meeting has also made it clear that testing should be continued wherever a single case of corona comes to light.
