Bhopal: Counting of votes for by-elections to 28 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh is taking place today. In view of the initial trends, the BJP is moving ahead in 18 seats, while only 9 seats are being seen by the Congress. The Bahujan Samaj Party is also looking forward to one seat.
Amidst the vote counting, former minister and Congress leader Jitu Patwari said in a conversation with a famous website, "Whatever mandate the people of Madhya Pradesh have given will be accepted by the Congress party. If the party wins in these elections, it will go ahead with perseverance. The development of the state will be expedited. If defeated in these elections, it will take further resolutions and will work accordingly. In addition, Jitu Patwari also said, "The government machinery has been misused in Madhya Pradesh. This victory is not of the Shivraj government. These elections are happening between the people and the administration."
On the question of where he missed the Congress, he said, "The entire results have not yet come. They cannot tell where these elections have been missed. The entire result is awaited. Only then will the defeat be assessed." Before him, former Chief Minister and Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh had also tweeted about the credibility of EVMS and put forward a number of questions.
