Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to dedicate the Mahakal Lok Phase-2 and a state-of-the-art Annakshetra (food area) in Indore. Renowned social worker Vinod Agrawal, along with the Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee and priest Pradeep Guru, donated a generous sum of Rs 22 crore towards the construction of this high-tech food area, which rivals a five-star hotel.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Thursday evening, with the Chief Minister arriving at approximately 7.30 pm. Following the dedication, Chouhan will participate in the Shayan Aarti at the Mahakaleshwar Temple.

The newly built Annakshetra boasts a two-storied building spanning 50,000 square feet, with the capacity to serve one lakh people per day. The entire construction of this high-tech facility has been funded by the generous donation.

In addition to Vinod Agrawal's contribution, Praveen Arora, another supporter of priest Pradeep Guru from Gurgaon, donated Rs 5 crore to equip Annakshetra with hi-tech machines, utensils, and other amenities. The food area will feature automated processes from vegetable cutting to cooking and dishwashing.

The construction includes two large kitchens, one on each floor, with specialized machines imported from Ahmedabad to facilitate food preparation. Around 8,000 to 9,000 devotees can dine simultaneously in this new facility, which is air-conditioned on both floors.

The dining area on the ground floor is complemented by a spacious lawn, providing waiting and relaxation spaces for visitors. The second floor mirrors the arrangements, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for all.

This monumental project aims to ensure that no devotee visiting the temple goes hungry and that food is readily available. The Annakshetra is strategically located in the temple's parking area and has been under construction for the past two years as part of the Mahakal Temple Expansion Phase-2.

The initiative aligns with the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047, emphasizing the creation of more decent jobs for the youthful workforce.
