Bhopal: Cases of assault in police custody have increased with the SC-ST community in police stations of Madhya Pradesh. The state's DGP VK Singh has admitted that in some cases there has been an incident of violence in police stations with people belonging to the SC-ST community. Taking this seriously, the DGP issued an advisory to the Superintendents of Police of all the districts on Tuesday night. In which it has been said that if necessary, people of this class should be detained and more vigilance should be exercised in such cases.

Along with this, abusive behavior and beatings should not be done in police stations with people of SC-ST time. If such a complaint is received, it will be the responsibility of the Superintendent of Police of that district. Actually the MP Police has issued a caste notification. This notification has been issued in police stations for special categories. Under this, a soft approach will be taken for the SC-ST community and arrest will be made only by asking caste.

DGP VK Singh has instructed the Superintendents of Police of all the districts that if necessary, people of particular category should be detained. While being taken into custody, they have been instructed not to assault and behave at all. If such a complaint is received, it will be the responsibility of the Superintendent of Police of that district.
