Muslim mob attack on people seeking donations for Ram Temple, 10 injured

Ujjain: Stones pelting was done on a rally by Hindu organisations on Friday evening at Begumbagh in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. It is reported that after the Muslim mob's move, there was a violent clash between the two communities and tension broke out in the area. Several vehicles parked there were vandalised. 10 persons have been reported injured in the incident of sabotage and stone-pelting. The police have also arrested an accused.

Hindu activists were rallying to collect donations for the Ram Mandir under construction in Ayodhya. The rally was to go from the tower area to the Bharat Mata Mandir in Mahakal area. On the way, some anti-social elements of the Muslim community in the Begumbagh area started stone pelting on the rally. The Hindu activists saw themselves surrounded in heavy stone pelting and considered it good to flee. However, they left their vehicles on the spot.

The Muslim mob then started targeting the vehicles. All the vehicles were damaged due to sabotage. As soon as the incident was reported to the police, it reached the spot and controlled the situation. DM Ashish Singh and SP Satyendra Shukla also reached the spot. The district magistrate has termed the dispute as a cause of quarrel. He said that the police has handled the situation and further action is being taken to maintain law and order.
