Jaipur: After the Karnataka hijab controversy, the picture of Reshma Khan, the magistrate of Rajasthan's capital Jaipur, is fast going viral on social media. In this picture, Reshma Khan can be seen wearing a hijab and working in the office. While sharing this picture on Twitter, users are getting attention to two things. The first is how magistrate Reshma Khan arrived in the court premises wearing her hijab to the office even after no religious attire was allowed. Secondly, to reach the post, how her┬аfather, Dr Habib Khan Gouran, while he was the RPSC chairman, stole papers for him and later resigned from the post when the pole was opened.

This is the case of 2013-2014. When a case was registered against former RPSC chairman Habib Khan Gauran for stealing papers for his daughter. He was accused of stealing the question paper (2013 RJS paper) of the Rajasthan Judicial Service (RJS) main examination to make his daughter a magistrate, after which daughter Reshma Khan secured 10th rank in the examination. According to reports in 2014, Habib Khan had printed the question papers of all the examinations from Surya Offset and Security Printers in Ahmedabad during his tenure as chairman. This included the question papers of the RJS exam held on March 21, 22, 23 and 24, 2013. According to the reports, in the year 2013, his daughter Reshma also took the exam and for her, Habib Khan went to the press and brought the question paper. The reality of Habib Khan came to the fore when the paper leaking gang and the press owners were questioned. On the basis of all the evidence, a case was registered against Habib Khan on October 2 and due to the ACB's investigation and all-around criticism, Habib Khan resigned from his post in 2014. ┬а

Later, an arrest warrant was also issued against Habib Khan in the case. During the investigation, it was revealed that on March 16, 2013, Dr Habib Khan went to the press where the paper was to be printed and took the question paper in the name of proofreading. Later, I took note of all the questions in that paper. According to the report, RPSC chairman Habib Khan had earlier told on March 1 that he had kept himself away from the process of preparing the question paper as his daughter was also involved in the exam and on the other hand he himself went to Mudresh Purohit's printing press on March 16, 2013, and there he had noted the questions. Reshma Khan's father Dr Habib Khan was appointed to the RPSC in the year 2012 during the Ashok Gehlot government. He was a former IPS officer and was also questioned several times in the paper leak case.
