Mumbai: Cases of coronavirus infection are on the rise in the Thane district of Maharashtra. Now, 325 new cases have been reported from here and the total number of people affected by infection has gone up to 5,52,662 after these cases came to light. The official said, in addition to these new cases that came to light last Saturday, three more patients died due to the virus, which has increased the death toll in the district to 11,312.

At the same time, he also informed that the death rate from Covid-19 in Thane is 2.04 percent. On the other hand, District Collector Rajesh Narvekar said that last Saturday, for the first time in Thane, more than one lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered in a day when 1,01,297 people were vaccinated. In addition, he has informed that 51,25,876 people have been vaccinated in the Thane district so far. Another official says that the cases of Covid-19 have increased to 1,34,704 in the neighboring Palghar district while the death toll has gone up to 3,293.

Let me tell you that Dr. Manik Gursal, District Collector, Palghar informed that last Saturday, 76,673 people were vaccinated against Covid-19, after which a total of 11,94,752 people have been vaccinated in the district.
