In fact, the ATS had collected evidence against several persons including the accused Assistant Inspector Sachin Waje. Daya Nayak was accused of tampering with these evidences. In that case, you all must know that after the Antilia and Mansukh murder cases, many officers posted in important departments like Mumbai Crime Branch and ATS are being transferred to the districts of the state.

Daya Nayak, a 1995 batch officer, has also been transferred. In fact, he has been sent as an inspector in Gondia district of Maharashtra. On the other hand, Rajkumar Kothamire, in-charge of the Anti-Extortion Cell of Thane Crime Branch, has been transferred to Gadchiroli. At the same time, Police Inspector Nitin Thackeray, who was in charge of Unit 1 of Thane Crime Branch for more than four years, has been transferred to Nandurbar.
