Mumbai: The government has imposed new restrictions to control the growing coronavirus in Maharashtra. Under these, night curfew has been imposed from 11 am to 5 am. The new rules will come into effect from Sunday night at 12 pm. In Maharashtra, the total number of cases so far has gone up to 1009 after 133 new cases of omicron variants were reported on Saturday. A health official said that out of these, 439 patients have recovered so far and have also been discharged. Out of 133 new cases of Omicron, 130 cases have come to light in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, while reports have been received from the Lab in Gujarat in connection with three cases. Out of these, 118 cases are from Pune city.

8 cases have been reported in Pimpri-Chinchwad, three cases in Pune Gramin, two cases in Vasai-Virar and one each in Ahmednagar and Mumbai. The officer said that so far the highest number of 566 cases of omicrons have been reported in Mumbai, followed by 201 cases in Pune city. According to the new rules, people will be able to leave their homes only for essential work from 11 pm to 5 am. Schools and colleges will remain closed till February 15, while swimming pools, gyms, spas, wellness centres and beauty salons will also remain completely closed. Entertainment Parks, Zoos, Museums and Forts will also remain completely closed. 50 people will be able to attend wedding ceremonies, social and political ceremonies, while only 20 people will be able to attend the funeral. Private offices, haircutting centres, theatres, shopping malls, market complexes will open with 50% capacity and only those who have taken both doses of corona will be admitted. Hotels and restaurants will be able to remain open till 10 pm. Grounds and gardens, tourist places will remain completely closed.

Grounds, Gardens, Tourist Places, Swimming Pools, Gyms, Spas, Wellness Centres, Beauty Salons, Entertainment Parks, Zoos, Museums, Forts.

Malls to run at 50% capacity:-
Theatres, cinemas, haircutting centres, shopping malls, market complexes, restaurants, private offices.
