New Delhi: Former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni launched the Chennai Super Kings (CSK)-owned MS Dhoni Global School in Bangalore, saying that master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was his idol and wanted to be a batsman like him. A video was shared by CSK in this regard. In the video, a girl questions former captain MS Dhoni.

Responding to the girl, MS Dhoni says, 'There is always Sachin Tendulkar as a cricket role model. I was just like you guys. I used to watch Sachin Tendulkar play and always thought of batting like him. However, later, I realized, I cannot play like him, but I always wanted to bat like him.' The crowd that listened to Dhoni applauded his candid confession. The girl then asked him questions about his favourite subject, but Dhoni smiled and raised the issue of sports not being recognized as a school subject. Dhoni has said, 'Is sport recognized as a subject?'

Dhoni played 70 Test matches and 117 ODI matches with Sachin Tendulkar, who is called the God of Cricket. He also played a T20 International match with Sachin. Dhoni is still respected everywhere. Under his captaincy, India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.
