India had a good showing in the Tokyo Olympics 2020, winning a number of gold, silver, and bronze medals. Several organizations, in addition to the federal government, have announced awards for the athletes. Carmakers such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, Renault, and MG Motor have remained in the forefront of recognizing and rewarding athletes.

Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, has announced a special version of the XUV700 for the Tokyo Olympics gold medalists in 2020. This special edition car will be called the XUV700 Javelin Edition and it will be gifted to Neeraj Chopra, Avani Lekhara and Sumit Antil, who secured gold medals at the recently held Olympics/Paralympics.

The Mahindra Group chairman turned to Twitter to reveal the official nameplate of the special edition XUV700 vehicle, which was recently patented by the homegrown carmaker.

More details about the XUV700 Javeline Edition are yet unknown, although it is likely to have a special livery on the exteriors to honour these sportsmen. In addition, the inside of the automobile might be given a change. The XUV700 might come with unique adaptations for Avani Lekhara and Sumit Antil, the gold medalists from the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, to make an entrance and egress simpler.
