Hyderabad: A state government bulletin states that Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has 82, followed by Karimnagar District at -23. While the entire Telangana state reported 318 COVID 19 cases on Friday, taking the tally to over 6.59 lakh, and the death toll of two people, the tally rose to 3,880. Active cases stood at 5,736. The total number of cases stood at 6,59,007, while with 389 people getting cured, the total number of cured people is 6,49,391.

More than 71,000 samples were tested today, taking the total number to over 2.48 crore. The bulletin said the samples tested per million population were over 6.67 lakh. The mortality rate in the state was 0.58 per cent, while at the national level it was 1.3 per cent. The recovery rate in Telangana was 98.54 percent, while it was 97.42 percent in the country.

Further, India's COVID-19 infections, as per data from the Union Health Ministry, rose to 3,29,45,907 with 42,618 in a day, while the number of active cases touched 4,05,681 after a third consecutive day of increase. . Data updated at 8 am on Saturday showed that the death toll from the viral disease rose to 4,40,225 with 330 more deaths. In a span of 24 hours, the active caseload increased by 5,903. The ministry said the number of active cases now accounts for 1.23 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 97.43 per cent. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.50 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 2.63 percent.
