Pune:  Army major and three jawans together thrashed a 26-year-old Jawan as he refused to drink alcohol. The case is reported to be the barracks of the Aundh Military station on June 3. The Jawan has claimed that he was unconscious due to the attack and he was conscious at the hospital on Friday. Sangvi Police registered a case of attempted murder against Major and three others, according to the victim's complaint on Saturday.

Sangvi Police Station senior Inspector Prabhakar Shinde has informed the matter that, "after the injured Jawan reached us, we have registered a case of attempted murder against the accused. He also received his medical report. "When information was taken from the military officers present at the Southern Command Headquarters in this regard, they said that they have no information about the case right now and therefore cannot say anything at the moment.

In his complaint, the wounded Jawan said that when he was summoned, the four accused were drinking and they also started asking him to drink alcohol. When the injured Jawan said he did not drink alcohol, the accused allegedly pulled him up and gave him a bottle of alcohol forcefully to drink, when the victim refused, he was assaulted.
