Major mishap averted as Humsafar Express train separates into two parts

A major accident was avoided as the Humsafar Express train got divided into two parts on its rout from Delhi to Katihar. The incident took place between Chandari and Chakeri area of Kanpur when the coupling of an AC-3 tier coach situated on the fourth position from the engine broke off.

Good train derailed in Uttar Pradesh

The train reached Prayagraj Junction at around 7 pm last night after few hours of effort.  ADRM and senior DME reached the station to examine and resolve the matter. The train then departed for Katihar, said  CPRO Ajit Kumar Singh. The Indian Railways is contemplating the idea of converting several passenger trains into express trains to provide better services to passengers and speed up the train services, however, no official decision has been taken by the Railway Board yet. 

Indian Railways to clone train to avoid long waiting list

A Railway Ministry official said that the news of railways planning to convert 181 passenger trains to express is not “actually based on any decision” of the Railway Board. Recently, two more trains were derailed at Uttar Pradesh. However, there is no causalities reported.
