The year 2016 is coming to an end and we can happily say that we have witnessed many of the great moments towards the sports all around the world. We have special sporting events say World T20, Euro, Olympics, Paralympics. With all that fun involved, we have also seen some of all time favourite sports persons finally retiring from the fields and they haven't missed their chance to give their best shot towards the last attempt as well.

1. Michael Phelps:

Michael Phelps

Regarded as one of the most decorated sports people across the globe, USA swimmer bid adieu from swimming after claiming 5th gold medal in the 2016 Olympics and 23rd as overall career gold medal count.

2. Abhinav Bindra: .

Maiden Indian gold medalist in shooting Abhinav Bindra has called off his career in September realising that it's time to move on and better give the opportunity to the young talents.

3. Brendon McCullum:

The kiwi star opener and captain of the national team in certain format have announced his retirement following a chronic injury in February this year.From 101 Tests he finished with 6,453 runs, including 12 centuries, 31 half-centuries and a Test average of 38.68.

4. Jason Button:

Former Formula one champion Jason Button has finished the final race of his career at Abu Dhabi grand Prix. The 36-year-old Briton, who has raced in more than 300 Grands Prix and won the 2009 World Championship

Well the sport creates legends and definitely these great names will be missed by the audience in the hope that young talent will be having enough potential to keep us entertaining up to the level this guys have set.
