Here's why Mahesh Babu agreed to work in the film Acharya
According to media reports, the shooting of the film has been halted due to the lockdown and the team had planned a non-stop schedule in Mumbai to finish the film by the end of May and release in June. But now, filming in Mumbai can be stopped for a few more months until the situation improves.

If the team has to wait for the lockdown for more than 2 or 3 months to go to Mumbai, then the release of the film has already been delayed due to the lockdown. So, the team is thinking of alternatives to Mumbai locations in Hyderabad and somehow manages it with the footage they have shot at actual locations. Only 50% of the shooting is complete.
