Jammu: Militants attacked security forces in the Jevan area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening. Two jawans were killed and 12 injured in the firing incident, whose condition is said to be critical. The 9th Battalion Armed Police Bus of Jammu and Kashmir was attacked. All the injured have been admitted to an Army hospital for treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation.
According to information received so far, the bike-borne terrorists carried out the firing. The Jammu and Kashmir Police bus was not bulletproof so the police force suffered a lot in the attack. Heavy security forces who rushed to the spot have sealed the area and strict action is being taken by the commuters.
