It may be recalled that the TMC supremo had said in her statement, "I am shocked to hear that on the occasion of Christmas, the Central Government has frozen all bank accounts of mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity in India. Her┬а22,000 patients and staff have been left without food and medicine. Although the status of the law is at the top, the functions of humanitarian service should not be compromised.'' The Central Government has since made it clear that it has not ordered the freezing of bank accounts. The documents also make it clear that the FCRA registration of Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity has neither been suspended nor cancelled. At the same time, the Union Home Ministry has made it clear that it has not ordered the freezing of bank accounts of the institution. Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity has also issued a statement confirming this.
