Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee will hit the road on Monday against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Mamata can hold 3 rallies in Kolkata today. Earlier she had said that we will not allow the Citizenship Amendment Act to be implemented in Bengal. Meanwhile, Mamata had a meeting regarding the law and order of the state.

A control room has been set up to monitor the protests. TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee's rally will start at 1 pm. The rally starting from Ambedkar Statue will end at Jorasanko Thakurbari. Meanwhile, TMC activists will protest against the citizenship law and NRC at various places. During the rally, Mamata Banerjee will call upon the people of the state to raise voice against the citizenship law.

Earlier on Saturday, tensions against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Bengal were stalled by roads and vandalism at railway stations, severely affecting traffic and rail transport on roads. A mob protesting against the CAA and the proposed National Citizenship Register (NRC) ransacked the Eastern Railway's Beldanga railway station in Murshidabad district on Friday, after which the railway personnel had to flee from there to save their lives.
