Kolkata: Protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) are taking place across the country. Protests were held in West Bengal on Sunday. There is an opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in West Bengal. In Bengal, on the third day, the utterances vandalized and ignited railway stations near Murshidabad. Burning tires on the rail tracks stopped the trains and threw stones. The police vehicle which reached the site was also burnt. As a precaution, many trains were canceled. Internet services have also been stopped in 6 districts.

Cancellation of many trains: In West Bengal, many trains have been canceled due to protests on the citizenship law. According to the Chief Public Relations Officer of Eastern Railway, 12042 Down New Jalpaiguri-Howrah Shatabdi Express and 12041 Up Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Shatabdi Express will be canceled today due to agitation at various places in Katihar Division of Northeast Frontier Railway.
