Kolkata: BJP MP and vice-president of the party's West Bengal unit Saumitra Khan on Saturday wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Saumitra has urged the Home Minister to deploy central forces in the state. He appealed to Amit Shah to "save West Bengal from burning", saying Bengal is not safe. "To keep the people of Bengal safe, you (Amit Shah) should appoint the central force at the earliest and hand over the security of West Bengal to him so that the people of the state can get freedom from the oppressive and tyrannical government. '
 
In the letter, the BJP MP briefed Amit Shah on the situation in the state. "On June 9, the national highway was blocked for six hours in the name of protest in Howrah, affecting a lot of people. Similarly, on June 10, park circus witnessed a terrible situation, while the goons of Rohingya (Muslims) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) beat up policemen at Domjur police station. '

The vice-president of the state BJP unit in his letter said that the cases of crime in West Bengal are increasing every day. He also mentioned the recent killing of a couple in the high-security area of Bhawanipur. "The incident took place near cm Mamata Banerjee's residence, the CM also represents the constituency from here in the state assembly. The State Government has not taken any step in this regard. The BJP MP said the state government was torturing the people by making the Rohingyas a pawn. "The people of the state are scared.
