GURUGRAM: A 26-year-old man was detained by Police for allegedly killing his father over a property dispute in Gurugram on Friday.

Anuj, the suspect, is accused of fatally stabbing his father Rakesh, 52, on the night of September 17/18 in Gurugram's Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP), then fleeing the scene,  the police officials said in their statement.

The accused and his father frequently argued about this, and on the night between September 17 and 18, the accused killed his father by crushing him to death with a piece of automotive equipment before driving away in the vehicle.

"The accused also has some criminal history and has been in Gurugram for the previous three years,"  Sangwan said.
