Meerut: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Maneka Gandhi has raised questions on the Hyderabad encounter. Maneka Gandhi said that what happened in Hyderabad is not right. Encounter is not the solution. The accused should be punished under a judicial process. These accused would have been in the police station or jail, where were they going to escape.

BJP leader Maneka Gandhi said, "There is also what is so terrible for the country, because you can not take the law in their own hands. He would be hanged anyway. If you kill them with a gun already, then what is the benefit, the court, the police, the law. Then you pick up the gun and kill whoever you want to kill.

Let us tell you that in the early hours of Friday, all four accused who raped a young female Veterinary doctor and then murdered him were killed in an encounter near Shadnagar. The accused were killed when they tried to escape from Chatanapalli near Shadnagar, about 50 km from Hyderabad. The four accused were killed in an encounter at the same place where they burnt the dead body on the night of November 27 near Shamshabad, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, after committing suicide.
