New Delhi: BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Monday (September 5, 2022) filed a complaint against Mohammad Zubair, co-founder of controversial website Alt News, for calling Team India fast bowler Arshdeep Singh a 'Khalistani'. Manjinder Sirsa has accused Mohammad Zubair of allegedly working in connivance with Pakistan agencies and calling cricketer Arshdeep Singh a 'Khalistani' for dropping catches.

In his complaint to the police, Manjinder Singh Sirsa has stated that some of the tweets shared by Zubair were from Twitter handles that were created with an aim to call the cricketer a 'Khalistani' and create a narrative against him. Sirsa explained how Zubair's tweet was forwarded by Pakistanis to incite anti-Sikh sentiments and defame India as well as create unrest. He has warned the Delhi Police Commissioner to register an FIR against Zubair and initiate an investigation. The BJP leader further spoke about how Mohammad Zubair worked hard to find screenshots calling the cricketer a 'Khalistani' and shared it on his Twitter, claiming that angry Indian people are abusing bowler Arshdeep and calling him a Khalistani after losing the match to Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 on September 4. Whereas, this propaganda to call Arshdeep a Khalistani was run entirely from Pakistan. Sirsa said Zubair's tweet was used by Pakistani agencies to defame India and spread hatred against Sikhs in the country.

Sirsa, in his complaint, said the move by Mohammad Zubair was a well-planned conspiracy to create communal disharmony in India. Sirsa has also demanded an inquiry into who supported Zubair in formulating this 'Khalistani' agenda. Let me tell you that in the match against Pakistan, Arshdeep was dropped in the third ball of the 18th over, after which it was seen that suddenly he (Arshdeep) started being trolled on social media. Some Twitter handles even called him anti-national. The tweets that have been made describing Arshdeep as a traitor etc. have mostly been made by people from Pakistan and Arab countries as Indians. Even, a Pakistani news channel called Arshdeep a Khalistani. But, the so-called fact checker Mohammad Zubair did not even think it appropriate to fact-check these tweets in a hurry to show the Indians below.  

These Indian journalist from Alt News, The Ken are local enablers of same propaganda. By tomorrow this will into mainstream through many verified handlers.

Let me tell you that not only on social media but Pakistanis also tried to show Arshdeep as Khalistani on Wikipedia. You can see that wherever Wikipedia should have written Indian with Arshdeep's name, the Pakistanis deliberately wrote Khalistan. Anshul Saxena's Twitter handle has shared screenshots in this regard. It is clear from the look that first Arshdeep was described as a Khalistan Squad and then India was removed from every place and Khalistan was added to his name. The IP address from which this entire editing was done, you can see that Pakistan has been found.

Let us know that during the T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan, Team India's fast bowler Mohammed Shami had to face the hatred of the people in this way. It was later revealed that the tweets against Shami were mostly made by Pakistanis and foreign agencies. Even at that time, Pakistani supporters sitting in India had fiercely fuelled Pakistani propaganda and tried to show that Mohammed Shami was being a victim of the hatred of Indians due to being a Muslim. But, perhaps the neighbouring country, which is being destroyed in the wake of terror, does not know that every Indian loves his players and other Indians very much and these nefarious conspiracies are not going to have any effect on India.
