New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will today discuss the coronavirus situation with the health ministers of nine states and Union Territories. According to the information, the meeting will take place at 10:30 am. The meeting will be attended by health ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Ladakh, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh.

Earlier, Mansukh Mandaviya had held a meeting with the health ministers and principal secretaries of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu. Today's meeting is taking place at a time when corona is wreaking havoc in many states. However, there are some states where the cases of corona infection have started decreasing. More than 162.77 crore doses of the corona vaccine have been given in the country so far.

According to the health ministry's data, 49 lakh (49,52,290) doses of the vaccine were administered till 7 pm on Monday, taking the number of vaccine doses administered so far to 1,62,77,06,092. The ministry said that so far more than 87 lakh (87,33,359) booster doses have been given to health workers, frontline workers and people above the age of 60 years suffering from other ailments. With this, 4,25,44,326 adolescents in the age group of 15-18 have been given the first dose.
