There are many cases of accidents taking place these days. While the oil well of Oil India in Assam's Bagajan caught fire. Seven people, including a magistrate, were injured in stone-pelting during protests in Tinsukia district on Saturday demanding compensation for the loss suffered. The police gave this information.

Police said that 18 people have been detained in connection with the incident in Nutan Rangagora village. Police said Magistrate Jaideep Razak was explaining to the protesters to end the blockade. He suffered a head injury in the stone-pelting. Tinsukia Additional Superintendent of Police Repunjay Kakoti told that the police had to give up tear gas shells and take steps like lathi-charge. Villagers claim that many men and women have been injured in lathi-charge.

Officials said the protesters had been sitting on a dharna since Friday night to close the road near the gas well, appealing for compensation.
