Weather hits railway functioning, due to fog many trains cancel

New Delhi: Most of the states of North India including Delhi-UP and Bihar have very low visibility due to fog. In view of the increasing cold in the month of December, the Railways has decided to cancel many trains. Samastipur railway division of Bihar has cancelled the operation of some trains between December 16 and January 31.

In these trains, Lichchavi Express, Saryu Yamuna Express and Avadh Assam Express trains have been cancelled from both sides up and down. Some trains scheduled have been changed which includes Freedom Fighter Express, Saptakranti Express, Vaishali Express and Satyagraha Express are included. All these trains will now run less one day a week. The fog of these trains has been cut due to fog.

It has been decided to run 8 trains opening from different stations of East Central Railway, one day a week, while 8 trains have been completely cancelled. DCM Prasanna Kumar gave information about it, said that due to the fog, the railways has decided to reduce the number of trains running and passing through the Samastipur Railway Division from 16 December to 31.01.2021 in cancellation or rounding.
