Manya Singh has come under fire as a result of a new promo for the Bigg Boss 16 Friday special episode. When Manya and Sreejita got into a fight, Manya, the runner-up for Femina Miss India 2020, referred to herself as the ambassador of India and made fun of Sreejita's work as a TV actor. Both the host Salman Khan and the previous Bigg Boss champion Gauahar Khan were not pleased with this.
Sreejita had been told by Manya, "For this nation, I served as its ambassador. what you are TV actress Evil is shatan." During his first weekend performance this season, Salman Khan responded to this by saying, "Manya ke hisab se wo angaar hain aur baaki sab bhangaar hain (According to Manya, she is the best and others are trash)"
Arjun Bijlani, an actor who has reportedly turned down offers to compete on Bigg Boss several times, including for this season, criticized Manya's statement on Twitter. He wrote, "I'm tired of hearing people say things like, "Yeh toh TV actress hai" or "Yeh toh TV actor hai" (she's a TV actress, he's a TV actor). The funniest part is that they make such remarks on TV. If you have such a significant issue, stay off television. TV is very popular and is currently airing (TV was a big platform, still is, and will remain so). #BiggBoss16."
Both Arjun and Gauahar Khan, the 2013 Bigg Boss season seven champion, concurred. She tweeted about him in a quote, saying, "That's right, he calls himself an ambassador for India while he doesn't understand the fundamentals of respect, inclusion, and tolerance! #irony."
Gauahar has been cheering for another contestant in the Bigg Boss house in the meantime. "Can we pls give the trophy of BB16 to Abdu Rozik please!!!!!!!" she tweeted a day after the season's debut. The first contestant for this season was revealed to be Tajik singer, musician, blogger, and boxer Abdu Rozik.
