Dumka: Six Naxals, including three women Naxals, surrendered with arms to the police in the city on Monday with a reward of one lakh rupees to five lakh rupees. Maoists Premshali Devi, Kiran Todu, Priscilla Devi, Bhagat Singh Kisku, Sukhlal Dehri and Sidho Marandi today surrendered to Dumka Deputy Inspector General of Police Rajkumar Lakda at Santhal.

According to sources, Superintendent of Police Y S Ramesh and other officials were also present during the visit. The Naxalites were given reward ranging from one lakh rupees to five lakh rupees. Four Naxals also handed over AK 47, INSAS, carbines and pistols to the police. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Inspector General of Police said that Maoists should come to the mainstream of society and work. He said, if the surrendered Maoists want, they can be transferred to the open jail in Hazaribagh.

At the same time, two women Naxalites Premshila and Kiran, who surrendered, said they lived a hellish life and were subjected to horrific sexual assault during years of wandering in the forests. He appealed to all Naxalites to surrender.
