Kolkata: A powerful blast that took place on Saturday night in Birbhum area of West Bengal has shaken the entire area. The blast took place at Meghdoot Club near Mallarpur railway station in Birbhum. The explosion was so loud that the surrounding houses came up to the crack. According to the report, the blast took place at around 1 p.m. on Saturday night at the Meghdoot Club in Mallarpur.

The report said that three iron gates in the club were completely broken due to the blast, while the nearby houses were also heavily damaged. According to sources, there was no loss of life or property in the blast, but a part of the house was demolished. Local administration rushed to the spot and removed the debris. The biggest question that arises after the blast is who kept such a huge amount of explosives in the club and why. Police are currently investigating the case.

This is not the first time that such a blast has taken place in West Bengal. Several such blasts have taken place in the past and a huge quantity of explosives have also been recovered from several houses during police searches.
