The procession was on Sunday and the clerics had called outsiders to Khambhat on Saturday itself. Those who were called for stone pelting and violence were told that nothing would happen to them and legal help would also be given to them.

The accused had collected bricks and stones and other weapons like sticks and sticks before the procession. On the next day on Sunday, when the procession started and started passing near the mosque, during this time stones started pelting the people involved in the yatra. Many people were injured in this sudden attack. It has also come to the fore in several reports that in the name of fighting alleged police atrocities, money was raised by collecting donations from people.
