Lucknow: An attempt has been made to vitiate the atmosphere on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. At around 10:40 pm on Sunday at Gurudwara Sri Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha in Prem Nagar here, some miscreants tried to spoil the atmosphere by throwing meat in a black bag. When the Gurudwara management noticed the black polythene, there was a commotion. He reported it to the police.

According to reports, the police can see the bag falling from above in the CCTV footage, but it does not see the thrower. The police are investigating the case. SSP Siddharth Aniruddha Pankaj has informed that "There is a Gurudwara in Premnagar. The Gurdwara management told us that meat has been thrown in black polythene.'' After that, we saw CCTV footage, in which no picture of any person, the crowd, came out. However, in the footage, it is clear that polythene has fallen into the gurudwara. The matter is being investigated and further action is being taken.

In response to a question on whether it is an attempt to disturb social harmony, the SSP said, "Right now it is quite difficult to say that an attempt has been made to spoil the social atmosphere by throwing polythene filled with meat in a Gurudwara. We don't have evidence of that. In the CCTV footage, there is no crowd or any person around who is throwing meat. In such a situation, something can be said completely only after complete information and investigation.
