Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir CM and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has made a major statement on the removal of Section 370. Mehbooba Mufti has said that it is a dark day in the history of Indian democracy. Attacking the central government, Mehbooba Mufti said Jammu and Kashmir has been divided into two parts. Jammu and Kashmir will now be a Union Territory. On the other hand, the second part will be Ladakh, where there will be no assembly and it will also be a Union Territory.

Mehbooba Mufti has said that after the division of Jammu and Kashmir in two parts, the face of the Government of India is visible indicating that the Government of India has failed to comply with its decision. It may be mentioned that Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in the Rajya Sabha that all sections of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir will not be applicable. At the same time, Article 35A has also been struck down.

Earlier, former CM and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti was detained in the Valley at midnight on Sunday. Reacting to this, Mehbooba wrote in a tweet, "There were reports of internet services being shut down, including mobile phone connections. Curfew order is also being issued. Allah knows what tomorrow is going to bring us tomorrow. This night is going to be long. '
