NEW DELHI: A big news is coming amid the tense situation arising out of the return of pilgrims who have visited Amarnath and deployment of additional security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources,  section 144 have been enforced in Jammu and Kashmir. In addition, internet services have been suspended in several areas of the state since Sunday evening. On the other hand, Home Minister Amit Shah today moved a resolution to revoke Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in the Rajya Sabha.

Presenting the resolution in the Rajya Sabha, Amit Shah said, Section 370 will not remain in force after the President's assent. Presenting the bill, Amit Shah said in the Rajya Sabha that after the signature of President Ram Nath Kovind, all sections of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir will be dismissed. However, the Home Minister also said that only one clause of Section 370 will remain in force in Jammu and Kashmir.

With this, Amit Shah has said that Jammu and Kashmir will become a Union Territory and Ladakh will be separated from the Valley and announced to be a separate Union Territory.
