Lionel Messi has given another signal to end his relationship with Barcelona by not reaching the required corona infection test for the entire team. Barcelona have said that Messi is the only player who has not been tested at the club's training center. The team is ready to resume training from Monday before the start of the upcoming season.

The club reiterated its stand not to discuss leaving Leonel Messi early and said that if the club wants to extend his contract from next season onwards, President Josep Bartomew will discuss the same with the player. Messi had expressed his desire to leave the club last week but Barcelona wants to keep him in the team till the contract expires in June 2021.

But the club has also said that it is not even discussing a possible transfer from another team. On Tuesday, Messi announced his decision to leave the club by sending Burofax (certified documents like Telegram) to the club. He cited a subsection of the contract that allows him to leave the club until the end of the season for free, but the club claims it has already expired.
