Till now, migrant labours were going to their homes by trucks, walking, cycling or by bus and train but now they will be sent home by plane. A plane has moved from Mumbai to Ranchi for the migrants. Migrants were sent to the airport with the help of NGOs. When this plane lands in Ranchi, the Labour Minister himself will be present there.

At two o'clock in the morning at the Mumbai International Airport, 177 migrant reached there. All of them arrived at six in the morning to fly by Air Asia plane. Priyanka Raman of Bangalore Law School Alumni Association was making sure that everyone reached the airport. The alumni association of this law school, along with some NGOs, not only gathered the migrants present in different parts of Mumbai. They also arranged for their air tickets. Priyanka told that we knew that there are many migrants from Ranchi who want to go back to their homes. So we decided to try and send them back.

In her statement, she said that we had decided to send back such migrants. In the end, we decided that we will send the people of Jharkhand back. Alumni organized funding for this. This included tickets, airport fees and transport fees for all expatriates. Activists and alumni groups say they are ready to send more migrants to the states if they get support from the state government. While Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said it was a pleasure to have the Migrants back. Two more aircraft will land Ranchi soon to bring back the stranded people in Andaman.
