Datia: A Gaushala has been constructed for the strays cows of rural areas. On Monday, State Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Singh Yadav, who visited the district on Monday, went on to inaugurate the Gaushala without going. The minister inaugurated the Gaushala at Bichondana village. It is the first newly built Go School in the district, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 27.22 lakhs. Along with Go Shala, the minister has also inaugurated the Anganwadi building costing Rs 6.55 lakh.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Animal Husbandry Minister said that in the next one and a half years, not a single destitute cow dynasty will be seen on the field and road and there will be no need of guarding their crops. On this ceremony, officials including Bhandar MLA Raksha Santram Saronia, Senvdha MLA Ghanshyam Singh, Congress District President Nahar Singh Yadav, former minister Kesari Chaudhary and other public representatives were also involved. When the minister arrived at the function, she did not see a single cow, so she answered the questions from the officials present there.

Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Singh Yadav took a meeting of officers in the collectorate meeting on Monday during the visit to Datia. Meanwhile, departmental schemes were also reviewed by Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Singh Yadav. At the same time he directed the officers that care should be taken in selecting the land for construction of Gaushala. Animal Husbandry Minister Lakhan Singh Yadav also questioned and expressed displeasure over the slow pace of construction of cowsheds. He also gave instructions to do this work fast so that the construction of Gaushalas in other areas can be done soon.
