Lahore: Pakistan has chosen a new coach and selector finally team after all the speculation. As speculation was going on, the Pakistan Cricket Board has assigned former veteran batsman Misbah-ul-Haq as the head coach and selector of the team. This is the first time that the Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed the same person as the head coach and selector of the team. The PCB has named the former captain of its own team Misbah-ul-Haq as the head coach and selector of the team for the next three years, which has been officially announced.

The PCB has tied up with Misbah ul Haq for the next three years. Coach Misbah-ul-Haq will now be able to choose the team according to his own ability and will give good coaching to the same players. The PCB did not extend the agreement of former coach Mickey Arthur and Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq in view of the poor performance of the Pakistan team in the 2019 World Cup.

The PCB then issued applications for new support staff, in which Misbah was found fit for the role and was selected for the role. Misbah has played 75 Tests and 162 ODIs for the Pakistan team.
