Lahore: Pakistan has chosen a new coach and selector finally team after all the speculation. As speculation was going on, the Pakistan Cricket Board has assigned former veteran batsman Misbah-ul-Haq as the head coach and selector of the team. This is the first time that the Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed the same person as the head coach and selector of the team. The PCB has named the former captain of its own team Misbah-ul-Haq as the head coach and selector of the team for the next three years, which has been officially announced.

The PCB then issued applications for new support staff, in which Misbah was found fit for the role and was selected for the role. Misbah has played 75 Tests and 162 ODIs for the Pakistan team.
