Aizwal: With 1,055 new cases of coronavirus reported in Mizoram on Friday, the total number of corona virus-infected people has increased to 69,026, while the death toll of one patient has reached 231. This information was given by a health department official. The new infected include 185 children.

This is the fourth consecutive day that more than a thousand new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Mizoram. In Mizoram, a covid-19 test of 9,799 samples in the last 24 hours has detected new patients, raising the infection rate to 10.77 percent. Earlier, 1,061 new cases of corona infection were reported in Mizoram on Thursday. The number of new cases in the state stood at 1,214 on Wednesday, while 1,468 new cases of infection were registered in the state on Tuesday.

The capital Aizwal reported the highest number of 570 new cases in new cases of infection. This has been followed by 115 new cases of coronavirus infection in Lavangalai and 96 in Kolacib. The number of active covid-19 cases in Mizoram has gone up to 12,440. In Mizoram, 917 covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours, raising the number of people who have overcome the deadly virus infection in the state to 56,355.
