New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu has approved the proposal to make Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Rajkumar Anand a minister in the Delhi cabinet from Patel Nagar in Delhi. Rajkumar Anand has been elected as the new cabinet minister from Patel Nagar. CM Arvind Kejriwal wrote an application to Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena to appoint him as a minister. Let us tell you that Rajkumar Anand has been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party since its formation in the year 2012. Earlier, he was involved in Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement.

According to media reports, after the resignation of former minister Rajendra Pal Gautam, the post of minister in the Delhi cabinet became vacant. The video of Gautam taking controversial vows against the gods and goddesses of the Hindu religion during a program on October 5 went viral. After this Rajendra Pal Gautam had to resign from his post due to the controversy that started. Rajendra Pal's resignation was accepted by President Draupadi Murmu with immediate effect.

Let us tell you that Rajkumar Anand has been associated with the party since the formation of AAP in 2012. At the same time, his wife Bina Anand has also been an AAP MLA from Patel Nagar. Both husband and wife are considered very special to CM Arvind Kejriwal. The intention of AAP behind making Anand a minister is clear the party wants to give importance to the person related to the grassroots level. Anand also has a lot of dominance due to his wife being an MLA in Patel Nagar. In such a situation, Rajkumar was made a minister from Patel Nagar.
